Avenged Sevenfold
O Avenged Sevenfold (também chamado de A7X) é uma banda formada na Califórniaem 1999, com um estilo bem peculiar também, no início eram mais voltados para oMetalcore, mas depois mudaram para um som mais Heavy Metal, Metal Alternativo eHard Rock, com várias outras influências, saindo do convencional. A banda foi formada pelo vocalista Matthew Shadows e pelo guitarrista Zacky Vengeance que eram amigos de escola, chamaram para completar a formação o baterista The Reverend e o baixista Matt Wendt, que logo foi substituído por Justin Sane. Todos os integrantes eram jovens, gravaram o primeiro disco com 18 anos de idade, o Sounding The Seventh Trumpet, que foi lançado em 2001. Depois disso o guitarrista solo Synyster Gates foi incorporado à banda e o baixista Johnny Christ assumiu oficialmente, essa formação consolidou-se e seguiu com bom entrosamento sem sofrer novas mudanças. Depois em 2003 lançaram Waking The Fallen, sairam em turnê, fizeram um contrato com a Warner Bros. Records e gravaram clipes para promover a banda. Em 2005lançaram o ótimo City of Evil, o disco marcou um pouco pela mudança nos vocais de M. Shadows, que deixaram os gritos, guitarras bem trabalhadas, o disco teve muito sucesso e trouxe grande fama para a banda. Depois M. Shadows afirmou que queria fazer um novo disco que se diferenciasse dos anteriores, que agradasse os antigos fãs e conquistasse novos, lançaram o homônimo Avenged Sevenfold, que foi sucesso de vendas. Em 2008 lançaram o DVD Live In The LBC e o CD Diamonds in the Rough, sendo sucesso de vendas também e recebendo vários prêmios. Em 28 de Dezembro de2009 o baterista The Rev foi encontrado morto em sua casa aos 28 anos. Lançaram em2010 Nightmare, seu mais recente disco, Mike Portnoy do Dream Theater foi quem gravou as linhas de bateria, uma homenagem ao The Rev, que tinha Mike Portnoy como ídolo. M. Shadows também cantou em uma música mo CD do Slash. O logo da banda é o Deathbat, que é uma caveira com asas.
